Watson recalls propafenone HCl tablets

Watson Pharmaceuticals has issued a voluntary nationwide recall to the consumer level of one lot of propafenone HCl 225mg tablets. Lot number 112680A (expiration date July 31, 2010) is being recalled because some tablets may contain slightly higher levels of the active ingredient than specified. The affected lot was sold in 100 count bottles and shipped between October 15, 2008 and November 26, 2008. No other strengths or lots were affected.

Propafenone HCl is indicated for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
