Vicks Sinex UltraFine Mist Nasal Spray recalled

The FDA and Procter & Gamble have notified consumers of a voluntary recall of Vicks Sinex UltraFine Mist Nasal Spray. This recall is being conducted because the bacteria Burkholderia cepacia has been found in a small amount of the product. The bacteria could cause serious infections in immunocompromised patients, or those with chronic lung conditions (eg, cystic fibrosis). B. cepacia poses little medical risk to healthy individuals.

The following product and lot is being recalled: Vicks Sinex Vapospray 12-Hour Decongestant UltraFine Mist Nasal Spray, 15mL, Lot# 9239028831.

Consumers who have this product in their possession should stop using it immediately and contact their healthcare provider if they experience any adverse effects related to the use of this product.
