Stud Capsule for Men dietary supplement recalled

The FDA and Kanec USA have notified healthcare professionals of a nationwide voluntary recall of Stud Capsule for Men (Lot# #060607-01/060108-01, Exp 6-2013) after laboratory analysis of a sample found the product to contain undeclared sildenafil. Sildenafil is an FDA-approved drug used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Use of Stud Capsule for Men may pose a threat to consumers because sildenafil may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs (eg, nitroglycerin) and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Consumers with diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, or heart disease often take nitrates.

Consumers who have this product in their possession should stop using it immediately and contact their healthcare provider if any adverse side effects occur that may be due to the use of these products.
