Recall Issued for Allergy Nasal Spray

Prestige Brands has issued a recallof one lot of NasalCrom Nasal Spray (cromolyn sodium nasal solution) due to the possibility of microbial contamination in the water used to manufacture the product.

Specifically, the recall is for Lot# 253211. While testing did not reveal the presence of the microorganism, the recall is being conducted out of an abundance of caution, as use of contaminated product can be especially concerning for immunocompromised patients. 

All other lots of NasalCrom are not affected by this recall as the potential source of contamination has been corrected.  

NasalCrom is an over-the-counter nasal spray that contains cromolyn sodium, a mast cell stabilizer. It is used for the prevention and relief of nasal allergy symptoms.
