Recall: Concentrated Motrin Infant Drops

McNeil Consumer Healthcare announced a voluntary recall of three lots of Concentrated Motrin Infants’ Drops (ibuprofen) Original Berry Flavor, 1/2 floz bottles.

RELATED: Pain Management Resource Center

After the three lots were released into the market, tiny plastic particles (approximately 1mm) were identified in a different product lot during manufacturing. It was determined that the particles originated in a shipment from a third party supplier of ibuprofen. McNeil Consumer Healthcare is conducting this recall of the three lots made with the same batch of active ingredient.

The affected products contain Lot # DCB3T01, DDB4R01, and DDB4S01 with an NDC 50580-100-18. The recall applies to approximately 200,000 bottles that were distributed nationwide.

McNeil Consumer Healthcare is asking retailers to remove the affected lots and is asking consumers to discontinue use and dispose of any affected products.

Concentrated Infants’ Motrin Drops Dye-Free Berry Flavor (1 floz), Children’s Motrin or Adult Motrin products are not included in this recall.
