The FDA and Nature & Health Co. have notified healthcare professionals of a nationwide recall of Libimax, a supplement product. An FDA analysis of Libimax samples has found the product to contain tadalafil, an FDA-approved drug for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Libimax poses a health threat to consumers because tadalafil may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs (eg, nitroglycerin) and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.
Consumers who have Libimax in their possession should stop using it immediately and contact their healthcare professional.
