HelloLife, Inc. announced a recall of Neuroveen, Respitrol, Thryoveev, and Compulsin due to possible microbial contamination.
Tests revealed Neuroveen to be contaminated with Staphylococcus saprophyticus and Burkholderia cepacia. Compulsin was also tested and found to contain B. cepacia. The Company stated Respitrol and Thryoveev are still pending bacterial identification.
Neuroveen is a homeopathic supplement indicated for temporary relief for nerve pain symptoms. Respitrol is indicated for temporary relief of respiratory symptoms. Thryoveev is indicated for temporary relief for sluggish thyroid symptoms. Compulsin is indicated to relieve nervous, repetitive thoughts or behavior.
Use of products with microbial contamination could potentially cause increased infections that require medical intervention or that may be life-threatening for certain users. The Company has not received any reports of adverse events related to the recalled products to date.
The recalled over-the-counter (OTC) products consist of a single lot that was supplied as 2oz amber bottles manufactured at the King Bio, Inc. facility in Asheville, NC. The affected products are as follows:
- Neuroveen: Lot #NV/030717D, Exp 07/19
- Respitrol: Lot #RE/030717E, Exp 07/19
- Thryoveev: Lot #TVV/030717F, Exp 07/19
- Compulsin: Lot #CO/030717B, Exp 07/19
Anyone in possession of the recalled lots should discontinue use immediately and remove all inventory. HelloLife is arranging for replacement products where available.
