Baxter recalls heparin

Baxter Healthcare has voluntarily recalled nine lots of heparin sodium injection 1000units/mL (10 and 30mL vials) due to increased reports of adverse reactions. There have been no reported fatalities associated with this recall and Baxter is presently investigating the root cause of the reactions. Heparin sodium is indicated for anticoagulation therapy.
