American Regent recalls sodium thiosulfate injection

American Regent has initiated a nationwide voluntary recall of one lot of sodium thiosulfate injection. The affected lot is being recalled because some vials of this lot exhibit translucent visible particles consistent with glass delamination.

The FDA has approved a new formulation of Acetadote (acetylcysteine injection, from Cumberland) which does not contain ethylene diamine tetracetic acid or any other stabilization and chelating agents, and is preservative-free.

Cumberland recalls six lots of Acetadote injection

Cumberland announced a recall of six lots of Acetadote (acetylcysteine) injection, 20% solution (200mg/mL) in 30mL single dose glass vials as a precautionary measure based on observed particulate matter found in a very small number of vials.
