Sexual Enhancement Supplements Tainted, Says FDA
The FDA is warning consumers that several sexual enhancement supplements have been found to contain hidden ingredients, and that these products should not be purchased or used:
- Bali Mojo
- JINQIANGBUDOR Red Dragon
- Tiger King
FDA laboratory analysis has found that JINQIANGBUDOR Red Dragon, SexRx, and Tiger King contain sildenafil, the active ingredient in the FDA approved prescription drug Viagra (Pfizer). These undeclared drugs are used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.
SexRx, Vimax, and Bali Mojo were also found to contain tadalafil, the active ingredient in the FDA approved prescription drug Cialis (Eli Lilly). This drug may also interact with nitrates and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.
These products are sold nationwide through various distribution channels, including the internet and retail stores. The FDA recommends consumers to discontinue and discard any dietary supplement with these labels immediately.
