More Lots of Generic Zosyn Recalled
Apotex, on behalf of Hospira, announced that it is recalling an additional 21 lots of Piperacillin/Tazobactam for Injection 40.5g due to the possible precipitation/crystallization in the IV bag or IV line after reconstitution. Apotex issued an initial recall of Piperacillin/Tazobactam for Injection on April 30, 2013.
The affected lots are packaged in 300mL glass vials for reconstitution and have an NDC #60505-0773-00 with expiration dates ranging from 8/2013–4/2014. Apotex will notify its direct account customers by sending the recall notification letter and arranging for product return of all recalled product.
