The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is alerting the public not to consume Longjack Coffee, Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee, CaverFlo Coffee, and AMPT Coffee because these products contain active pharmaceutical ingredients. The products, made in Malaysia, are being promoted and sold online for sexual enhancement.

An FDA investigation into these products has confirmed the following undeclared ingredients:

  • Sildenafil and tadalafil in CaverFlo Coffee and AMPT Coffee
  • Desmethyl carbodenafil (analogue of sildenafil)
  • Milk

Sildenafil and tadalafil, which are FDA-approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, can interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. In addition, individuals with severe sensitivity to milk may be at serious risk for life-threatening allergic reactions.
