Updated information regarding the availability of Pfizer’s Pencillin G Procaine has been released by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Penicillin G Procaine 1,200,000 Units/2mL prefilled syringe (2mL) and Penicillin G Procaine 600,000 Units/1mL prefilled syringe (1mL) are still on backorder, however the company now reports the next delivery is anticipated in April 2017, rather than February 2017. The reason for the shortage as per the FDA is due to a manufacturing delay.
