Solesta Injectable Gel Available for Fecal Incontinence

Oceana Therapeutics announced that Solesta gel, a biocompatible tissue bulking agent consisting of dextranomer microspheres and stabilized sodium hyaluronate, has been made available for the treatment of fecal incontinence in patients ≥18 years old. Solesta is an injectable gel delivered into the deep submucosal layer in the proximal part of the anal canal in an outpatient procedure taking approximately 10 minutes.
