Sagent announced the reintroduction of Amiodarone HCl Injection, now in an improved prefilled plastic syringe that is compatible with most standard IV pumps.

Amiodarone HCl is a Class III antiarrhythmic indicated for documented, life-threatening recurrent refractory ventricular fibrillation (VF) or hemodynamically unstable ventricular tachycardia (VT) when oral therapy is not feasible. Amiodarone HCl also can be used to treat patients with VT/VF for whom oral amiodarone is indicated, but who are unable to take oral medication.

Sagent’s Amiodarone HCl Injection also features the company’s PreventIV Measures packaging and labeling, designed to help reduce medication errors.
