Rise in Syphilis Cases Prompts New CDC Video for Clinicians

As the number of syphilis cases across the U.S. continues to rise, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released a list of recommendations that highlight how clinicians can play a key role in halting the trend.

The CDC’s efforts are focused on talking, testing and treating. Healthcare professionals should also be aware of the appropriate penicillin preparation, as some combinations can provide inadequate doses.
