Ready-to-use prefilled syringes of Relistor approved

The FDA has approved single-use, prefilled syringes of Relistor (methylnaltrexone bromide injection, from Progenics and Pfizer) for the treatment of opioid-induced constipation. Relistor is already available in single-use vials. The prefilled syringes of Relistor are expected to be available in 8mg and 12mg dosages in the first half of 2011.
