Greer laboratories announced the launch of Oralair (Sweet Vernal, Orchard, Perennial Rye, Timothy and Kentucky Blue Grass Mixed Pollens Allergen Extract) sublingual allergy immunotherapy tablet for the treatment of grass pollen-induced allergic rhinitis with or without conjunctivitis in patients aged 10–65 years, as confirmed by a positive skin test or in vitro testing for grass pollen-specific IgE antibodies for any of the 5 grass species contained in the product.

Oralair sublingual allergy immunotherapy tablet is comprised of a five grass, mixed pollens allergen extract. The exact mechanism of allergen immunotherapy are unknown.

Oralair is available in 100 IR (approximately 3000 bioequivalent allergy units [BAU]) and 300 IR (approximately 9000 BAU) sublingual tablets in 3-tab blister starter packs. Greer is working with a network of specialty pharmacies that fill Oralair prescriptions and mail them directly to patients.
