Nuvigil launched for excessive sleepiness

Nuvigil (armodafinil tablets) is now available from Cephalon in 50mg, 150mg, and 250mg dosage strengths. Nuvigil is indicated to improve wakefulness in patients with excessive sleepiness associated with obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS), narcolepsy, and shift work sleep disorders (SWD). In OSAHS, Nuvigil is indicated as an adjunct to standard treatments for the underlying obstruction.
