New No-Touch Forehead Thermometer Launched

Braun announced the availability of the Braun No touch + forehead thermometer, a novel thermometer that can take a temperature reading in two non-invasive ways. One way is touch-free and takes a measurement of the forehead, and the other method requires a light touch of the same location.

The Braun No touch + forehead thermometer measures infrared energy that radiates from the skin at the center of the forehead. Its sensor detects twice much thermal energy than the traditional forehead thermometer, which allows for a more accurate assessment of body temperature. This final reading is then converted to the oral temperature equivalent within seconds.

The Braun No touch + forehead thermometer features a temperature guidance display that helps users better understand and interpret the temperature. The display screen will change to green, yellow, or red (highly indicative of fever) to help monitor the temperature status. The touch-free option offers a more hygienic method of taking temperatures, which may be important when taking readings of multiple patients or family members.

The Braun No touch + forehead thermometer is available at most mass and drug retailers.
