Nestlé Health Science announced the new MyTubefeeding TRACKER App, the first-of-its-kind digital app to monitor the nutrition, tolerance, and overall growth and development of children who are tube fed or have other unique nutrition requirements.
The app contains educational information to help with home transitions, managing feedings, and preparing recipes. With the app, parents and caregivers can track the child’s nutrition by setting daily goals of calories, volume, and nutrients, with reminders to start feedings. The app also can identify and track symptoms of feeding intolerance and bowel movements. In addition, visual guidelines are available to help track a child’s growth milestones.
The data recorded in the new app are private and can be shared with the child’s healthcare providers. Reports on feedings and growth progress can be produced monthly and can be emailed to healthcare providers as a PDF document.
The MyTubefeeding TRACKER is not intended to generate medical advice, treatment, diagnostics, or to replace the advice of a healthcare team. The app is compatible with iPhone and is available for download.
