Senna Syrup is used as a natural vegetable laxative for the relief of occasional constipation. The recalled lot of Senna Syrup 8.8mg/5mL, unit-dose cups; NDC # 50268-731-24; Lot # AM1115S; Expiration Date 01/2023, was distributed to AvKare and may have been further distributed to clinics, hospitals, and health care providers.
According to the Company, use of the recalled product may potentially result in life-threatening infections in older patients or immunocompromised individuals. To date, the Company has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.
