LoSeasonique extended regimen oral contraceptive available

Duramed’s LoSeasonique (levonorgestrel 0.1mg/ethinyl estradiol 0.02mg and ethinyl estradiol 0.01mg tablets), a low dose, extended regimen oral contraceptive, is now available. LoSeasonique provides women with an additional 13 weeks of hormonal exposure per year compared to conventional monthly oral contraceptives containing similar strength estrogens and progestins, thus reducing the number of menses to four per year.
