Renvela (sevelamer carbonate) has been launched by Genzyme as an 800mg tablet formulation. It is calcium-free, metal-free, non-absorbed phosphate binder and is indicated for the control of serum phosphorus in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis.
