Wockhardt announced it has received final approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Oxycodone HCl Liquid for the treatment of moderate to severe acute and chronic pain.
Oxycodone HCl is an opioid agonist indicated for the management of moderate to severe pain where the use of an opioid analgesic is approrpriate. Oxycodone HCl is a pure agonist opioid that has multiple actions qualitatively similar to those of morphine. The most prominent of these involves the central nervous system and organs composed of smooth muscle.

Oxycodone HCl will be available in a 5mg/5mL strength. Wockhardt is planning to launch the product soon.
