Par Resumes Generic Precedex Shipment

Par announced that it has resumed shipping Dexmedetomidine HCl Injection, the generic version of Hospira’s Precedex. This resumption is following the lifting of a restraining order that was issued in August at Hospira’s request.

Precedex is an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist indicated for sedation of initially intubated and mechanically ventilated patients during treatment in an intensive care setting, and for sedation of non-intubated patients prior to and/or during surgical and other procedures.

Dexmedetomidine HCl Injection is available in 200mcg/2mL single-use vials and are preservative-free.
