Nicardipine HCl Injection Now Available From American Regent

An AP-rated and therapeutically equivalent generic of Cardene IV (Chiesi) has been made available by American Regent.

Nicardipine HCl Injection, a calcium channel blocker, is indicated for the short-term treatment of hypertension when oral therapy is not feasible. The treatment is intended for intravenous use and is administered by slow continuous infusion following dilution. 

The product is supplied in single-dose vials containing 25mg of nicardipine HCl in 10mL solution and is preservative free. According to the Company, it is available for immediate shipment.
