Mylan announced the launch of Almotriptan Tablets, the generic version of Janssen‘s Axert.
Axert is indicated for the acute treatment of migraine attacks in adults and for the acute treatment of migraine headache pain in adolescents age 12–17 years with a history of migraine attacks lasting ≥4hrs (when untreated). It is a selective 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist.
