Actavis and Perrigo announced the approval of Guaifenesin/Pseudoephedrine Tablets, the generic version of Reckitt Benckiser’s Mucinex D tablets.

Mucinex D combines an guaifenesin, an expectorant, and pseudoephedrine, a decongestant. It is indicated to relieve chest congestion and make coughs more productive. It temporarily relieves nasal congestion due to the common cold, hay fever, or upper respiratory allergies. It also works by promoting nasal and/or sinus drainage.
