Fera to Launch Generic Moxatag

Fera Pharmaceuticals announced it will launch Amoxicillin Extended-Release Tablets, the generic version of Pragma Pharmaceuticals’ Moxatag.

Moxatag is a once-daily antibacterial therapy approved for the treatment of tonsillitis and/or pharyngitis secondary to Streptococcus pyogenes. Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin that exerts its bactericidal action against susceptible organisms during the stage of multiplication. It acts through the inhibition of biosynthesis of cell wall mucopeptide.

Amoxicillin Extended-Release Tablets will be available as a 775mg strength in 30-count bottles.
