A generic version of Janssen’s Risperdal (risperidone tablets) has been made available by Teva in 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 2mg, 3mg, and 4mg dosage strengths. Risperdal is indicated for schizophrenia in patients ≥13 years of age, as short-term monotherapy treatment of mania associated with manic or mixed episode of bipolar I disorder in children and adolescents 10–17 years of age, or in combination with lithium or valproate in adults, and irritability in autistic children and adolescents 5-16 years of age.
