Generic Fosamax launched

Generic versions of Merck’s Fosamax (alendronate sodium) tablets are now available. Teva has received FDA approval to market the 5mg, 10mg, 35mg, 40mg, and 70mg dosage strengths, Watson will market the 35mg and 70mg dosage strengths, and Barr will market the 70mg dosage strength.
