FDA: E-Liquids Found to Contain Undeclared Prescription Drugs

Sildenafil and tadalafil can interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning consumers not to buy or use E-Cialis HelloCig E-Liquid and E-Rimonabant HelloCig E-Liquid because the products contain undeclared sildenafil and tadalafil.

The drug traces were confirmed after the FDA conducted a laboratory analysis of the 2 e-liquids sold by HelloCig Electronic Technology Co. Ltd. In a statement, the Agency said, “These FDA-approved prescription drugs are not approved for inclusion in e-liquid products sold over the counter and are therefore being sold illegally.” The Agency warned HelloCig of these issues and recommended that they initiate a recall, however the Company has yet to respond.
