Asclera injection available for sclerotherapy

BioForm Medical has launched Asclera (polidocanol injection), a sclerotherapy treatment. Asclera is indicated for the treatment of uncomplicated spider veins (varicose veins ≤1mm in diameter) and uncomplicated reticular veins (varicose veins 1–3mm in diameter) in the lower extremities. Once injected, Asclera acts by damaging the cell lining of blood vessels, causing them to close and eventually disappear.
