Apidra SoloSTAR insulin pen available

Apidra SoloSTAR (insulin glulisine [rDNA origin] injection, from sanofi-aventis), a prefilled disposable pen containing Apidra, is now available. Apidra SoloSTAR makes administration of insulin more convenient for patients whose insulin regimens include Apidra. The disposable pen also eliminates the need for cartridge changes.

Apidra is a rapid-acting insulin indicated to improve glycemic control in adults and children ≥4 years of age with type 1 diabetes or adults with type 2 diabetes.
