InControl Medical announced it has received clearance from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market their Apex Device over-the-counter (OTC). The Apex Device is intended to treat stress incontinence in women.

Apex consists of a customizable probe that stimulates specific muscles to strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor, reducing bladder leakage associated with coughing, laughing, or exercising. It was designed as an option for women with mild stress urinary incontinence often related to post-partum recovery. The use of the Apex Device eliminates the need for diapers or pads.
