The FDA is advising consumers not to purchase or use Sex Plus and Zoom-Zooma-Zoom, both of which are being promoted and sold for sexual enhancement online and in retail stores.
A FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Sex Plus contains undeclared sildenafil, tadalafil, sulfosildenatil, and dimethylacetildenafil. A separate analysis confirmed that Zoom-Zooma-Zoom contains sildenafil. Sildenafil and tadalafil are phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors that may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop taking these products and to consult a healthcare professional as soon as possible if they experience any negative side effects. Sex Plus and Zoom-Zooma-Zoon have been added to the FDA’s list of Tainted Sexual Enhancement Products.
