Acanya gel (clindamycin phosphate 1.2% and benzoyl peroxide 2.5%, from Arcutis) has been approved by the FDA for the once daily treatment of acne vulgaris in patients ≥12 years of age. In clinical studies of over 3200 patients with moderate-to-severe acne, Acanya gel demonstrated synergistic efficacy compared to either clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide alone.
