Mylan Launches Thiamine HCl Injection
Mylan announced that the FDA has approved its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for preservative-free Thiamine HCl Injection, 100mg/mL.
Thiamine HCl Injection is indicated for the treatment of thiamine deficiency. Thiamine, also known as Vitamin B1, is required for carbohydrate metabolism. Thiamine requirements are increased in pregnancy, hyperthyroidism, infection, hepatic disease, and increased carbohydrate intake. Patients with alcoholism, cirrhosis, GI diseases, and inadequate oral intake are susceptible to thiamine deficiency.
Preservative-free Thiamine HCl Injection is available from Mylan in 200mg/2mL multiple-dose vials in 25-vial packs.
