Onexton Generic Name & Formulations
Clindamycin (as phosphate) 1.2%, benzoyl peroxide 3.75%; gel.
Lincosamide antibiotic + antibacterial/keratolytic.
Onexton Dosage and Administration
Apply a pea-sized amount once daily.
History of regional enteritis, ulcerative or antibiotic-associated colitis.
Onexton Boxed Warnings
Avoid eyes, mouth, lips, mucous membranes, broken skin, sun, UV light. Discontinue if significant diarrhea occurs. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers: avoid accidental ingestion.
Additive irritation with other topical acne products. Avoid concomitant erythromycin-containing products. May potentiate other neuromuscular blocking agents; caution.
Onexton Adverse Reactions
Burning sensation, contact dermatitis, pruritus, rash; colitis (may be fatal).
