Lung surfactants/mucolytics:
Indications for: CUROSURF
Treatment ("rescue") of respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) in premature infants.
Adult Dosage:
Not applicable.
Children Dosage:
See full labeling. Give by intratracheal administration through an endotracheal tube. Each dose should be administered as 2 aliquots. Initial dose of 2.5mL/kg birth weight; may give 2 more doses of 1.25mL/kg birth weight at 12-hour intervals.
CUROSURF Warnings/Precautions:
Should only be administered by trained and experienced personnel in the care, resuscitation, and stabilization of pre-term infants. Perform frequent assessments so that oxygen and ventilatory support can be adjusted to respond to respiratory changes.

Adverse Reactions:
Bradycardia, hypotension, endotracheal tube blockage, oxygen desaturation.
