Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine May Improve Efficacy by Avoiding B Strain Mismatch

The investigational Intradermal (ID) Quadrivalent Inactivated Influenza Vaccine (IIV4-ID) tested in a Phase 3 clinical trial during the 2012-13 influenza season produced antibody responses to B strains that were superior to a licensed split-virion trivalent influenza vaccine (IIV3-ID) containing the alternate strain, and noninferior for the A and matched B strains.

QUAD Regimen Demonstrates High SVR12 Rates in Patients with HCV Genotype 1/4 Infection

The QUAD regimen—daclatasvir and asunaprevir plus peginterferon alfa-2a and ribavirin (DCV+ASV+pegIFN/RBV)—demonstrated high sustained virologic response rates of 93% at post-treatment Week 12 (SVR12) in genotype 1 (GT 1) and 100% in genotype 4 (GT 4) patients with hepatitis C virus who were prior null or partial responders to pegIFN/RBV.
