Indications for VICKS FORMULA 44 CUSTOM CARE CONGESTION:

Cough and nasal congestion.

Adult Dose for VICKS FORMULA 44 CUSTOM CARE CONGESTION:

15mL every 4hrs; max 6 doses/24hrs.

Children's Dose for VICKS FORMULA 44 CUSTOM CARE CONGESTION:

<4yrs: do not use. 4–5yrs: not recommended. 6–11yrs: 7.5mL every 4hrs; max 6 doses/24hrs.

Pharmacological Class:

Antitussive + sympathomimetic.

Contraindications:

Children <4yrs old. During or within 14 days of MAOIs.

Warnings/Precautions:

Cardiovascular disease. Hypertension. Diabetes. Thyroid disease. Asthma. Lower respiratory disorders. GI or GU obstruction. Sodium-restricted diet. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers.

Interactions:

See Contraindications. Hypertensive crisis with MAOIs. β-blockers may increase the pressor effects of sympathomimetics. Antagonizes antihypertensives.

Adverse Reactions:

Nervousness, dizziness, insomnia.
