Iron (as fumarate) 110mg, Vit. B12 15micrograms, folic acid 0.5mg, Vit. C 75mg, liver-stomach concentrate 240mg; caps.

Indications for TRINSICON:

Megaloblastic anemias. Iron deficiency anemia.

Adult:

1 cap twice daily.

Children:

<10 yrs: not recommended.

Contraindications:

Hemochromatosis. Hemosiderosis.

Warnings/Precautions:

For pernicious anemia, parenteral cyanocobalamin is preferred. Resistance to exogenous intrinsic factor may develop. Folic acid may mask pernicious anemia. Monitor blood parameters. Hepatitis. Pancreatitis. Peptic ulcer or GI inflammation. Achlorhydria. Repeated blood transfusions. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers. Elderly.

Interactions:

Inhibits tetracycline absorption.

Adverse Reactions:

Nausea, abdominal discomfort and pain, constipation, diarrhea, masks occult bleeding, black stools, rash.
