Fibroids are noncancerous rubbery nodules that can cause pain and swelling of the surface of the breast. Formation is caused by hormonal changes that directly affect breast tissue, and fibroids are most common in women in the ir 30s and 40s. Although the growths are generally benign, surgical treatment may be decided upon in order to alleviate recurring pain. This video shows a start-to-finish surgery that removes multiple fibroids.
