Suprax Oral Suspension 500mg/5mL Approved

Lupin announced that the FDA has approved Suprax (Cefixime) for Oral Suspension 500mg/5mL.  Suprax is a cephalosporin antibiotic indicated for the treatment of susceptible infections, including otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, acute bronchitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis; uncomplicated UTIs and cervical or urethral gonorrhea.

Suprax is already available in 100mg/5mL and 200mg/5mL strength oral suspensions, 400mg tablets, as well as 100mg and 200mg chewable tablets.

Lupin will begin shipping Suprax for Oral Suspension 500mg/5mL in the near future.
