An FDA laboratory analysis found elevated levels of lead following an alert from the Minnesota Department of Health. Lead exposure can result in serious damage to the central nervous system, the kidneys, and immune system. For children, exposure to low levels of lead can result in impaired cognition, including reduced IQ, behavioral difficulties, and other problems.

There have not been any confirmed cases of lead poisoning associated with the product to date.
