FDA warns consumers to avoid TimeOut CapsulesThe FDA has warned consumers not to take TimeOut Capsules, which are marketed as a dietary supplement for sexual enhancement. FDA lab analysis have found TimeOut Capsules to contain hydroxythiohomosildenafil, a chemical similar to sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra (from Pfizer), which is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Like sildenafil, this chemical may interact with prescription drugs such as nitrates (eg, nitroglycerin) and cause dangerously low blood pressure.
Consumers who have TimeOut Capsules in their possession should stop using it immediately and contact their healthcare provider if they experience any adverse effects related to use of the product.
