Garden of Life announced a voluntary recall of its Baby Organic Liquid supplement for infants. The recall is being conducted as a precautionary measure because the product includes directions for use that may not be interpreted correctly.

Baby Organic Liquid is a probiotic supplement that contains seven probiotic strains. The label of the carton currently states "Do not insert syringe directly in mouth. Dispense liquid slowly into the mouth, toward the inner cheek. May be mixed with breast milk or formula."  If the product is not administered exactly as the labeled instructions, it may pose swallowing difficulties and may be a possible choking hazard due to the thickness of the liquid.
