Arthritis Supplement Contains 3 Hidden Ingredients

Nano Well-Being Health is issuing a voluntary recall of two lots of Super Arthgold 500mg capsules, a dietary supplement for joint pain and arthritis. Chlorzoxazone, diclofenac, and indomethacin were found in an FDA laboratory analysis, making Super Arthgold an unapproved new drug. No illnesses or injuries associated with this product have been reported to date.

The recall involves the following lots of 120-count bottles:

  • L1P1-6100 (exp. June 25, 2016)
  • L1P2-6000 (exp. September 16, 2016)

Use of this adulterated product carries a risk of potentially fatal adverse events in patients with underlying illnesses, including known allergy to the hidden ingredients; cardiac, gastrointestinal, hepatic, or renal conditions; and recent cardiac bypass graft surgery (CABG). Concomitant administration of other NSAID-containing products can lead to an overdose, which can further increase the risk for NSAID-associated adverse events.

Nano Well-Being Health is notifying its distributors and customers by letter and phone call to arrange for replacement of all recalled products. Those in possession of the affected lots should stop using the product and return them.
